Rose One Inc. ("we," "us," or "our")
collects, uses, and discloses
information when you use Talkspot
(the "Service"). By using the
Service, you agree to this Privacy
Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Talkspot, we collect
the following categories of
information:
- Account Information — your email
address and chosen username,
provided during sign-up.
- Location Information — geolocation
data from your device, used to
populate the map and show nearby
spots and posts. You can control
location access from your iOS
Settings.
- User Content — the posts,
comments, chat messages, spot
descriptions, and images you create
on the Service.
- Profile Information — the profile
picture or avatar you choose to
upload.
- Device Information — device type,
operating system, and related
technical identifiers collected
automatically when you use the
Service.
- Usage Data — information about how
you interact with the Service,
including pages viewed, features
used, and approximate interaction
timestamps.
We do not collect payment card
numbers, biometric identifiers,
contacts, or health data.
2.HowWeUseYourInformation
We use the information we collect
to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the
Service;
- Authenticate you and secure your
account;
- Display posts, spots, messages,
and user profiles to you and to
other users, as you choose;
- Provide map-based features using
your location;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent
abuse, fraud, and violations of our
Terms and Conditions;
- Respond to support requests and
communicate service updates;
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
Talkspot relies on the following
third parties to operate the
Service. Your use of these
providers' services is also subject
to their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — authentication,
database, and backend management.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App
Store services.
- Google (Google Places API) —
location search and geocoding.
- Mapbox — map rendering and tiles.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile) — invisible
human-verification to prevent abuse
on sign-up and authentication.
These providers process data on our
behalf under contractual obligations
consistent with this Privacy
Policy.
4.SharingofInformation
We share information only in the
following circumstances:
- With other users of the Service —
posts, comments, spots, and profile
details are visible to other
Talkspot users as part of normal
Service functionality.
- With our service providers — as
described above, strictly for the
purpose of operating the Service.
- For legal reasons — when required
to comply with law, a court order,
or other legal process, or to
protect the safety, rights, or
property of users or the public.
- In connection with a business
transaction — if Rose One Inc. is
involved in a merger, acquisition,
or sale of assets, user information
may be transferred as part of that
transaction, subject to continued
privacy protections.
We do not sell your personal
information.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold
about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete
data;
- Delete your account and associated
personal data;
- Port your data to another service
(we will provide a machine-readable
export on request);
- Withdraw consent for processing
where processing is based on
consent;
- Object to certain processing
activities.
To exercise these rights, email us
at ceo@talkspotapp.com. You can also
delete your account at any time
from the "Delete Account" option in
the app.
GDPR (European Economic Area, UK)
If you are located in the EEA or the
UK, you have the additional rights
described above under the General
Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
and the UK GDPR. You also have the
right to lodge a complaint with your
local data protection authority.
CCPA / CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident,
you have additional rights under the
California Consumer Privacy Act and
the California Privacy Rights Act,
including the right to know what
personal information we collect, to
request deletion, and to opt out of
any "sale" or "sharing" of personal
information. Talkspot does not sell
personal information.
6.DataRetention
We retain your account and profile
information for the lifetime of your
account. Posts, comments, spots,
and messages remain on the Service
until you or the original author
delete them, or until the Service
removes them under our Terms. When
you delete your account, we purge
personal data from our active
systems within 30 days, except where
we are required to retain it to
comply with legal obligations,
resolve disputes, or enforce our
agreements. Backups are rotated and
purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
7.Security
We use industry-standard technical
and organizational measures to
protect your information, including
TLS encryption in transit,
encryption at rest for sensitive
fields, row-level security on our
database, and server-side validation
of all client requests. No security
measure is perfect — if you suspect
your account has been compromised,
notify us immediately at
8.Children'sPrivacy
The Service is not directed to, or
intended for use by, individuals
under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal data from
children under 13. If you believe a
child has provided us with personal
information, contact us at
ceo@talkspotapp.com and we will
delete it promptly.
9.InternationalDataTransfers
Talkspot is operated from the United
States, and your information may be
transferred to and processed in
countries other than the one in
which you live. Where required by
law, we use appropriate safeguards
(such as Standard Contractual
Clauses) to protect data transferred
internationally.
10.ChangestoThisPrivacyPolicy
We may update this Privacy Policy
from time to time. If we make
material changes, we will notify you
through the app or by email. Your
continued use of the Service after
such changes constitutes acceptance
of the updated Policy.
